This is Mercedes from Washington and Oregon state. I actually started listening to public broadcasting from as early as I can remember. I spent a lot of time with my grandma, if I wasn’t with my mom, I spent a lot of time in front of the tv. Tv was kind of babysitter. But I also- like, those shows are a part of my identity. You know, ‘Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood’ watching that growing up, being half black half white, you know? They- those shows helped me navigate my life and they really made me who I am today. And I am hoping maybe one day I will have something on the PBS station to share with everybody so… Happy Centennial NWPB!
